Hello Roger, i just wanted to thank you for producing a handful of my favorite lp`s mostly Rory Gallagher Calling Card, MSG 1st, Judas Priest Sin after Sin, and anything Rainbow, Purple, i Love when they would ask RJ Dio who did he learn from , he would state that Purple was the Band Elf opened for and DP set the standard for how a band works and performs, wow that is quite a compliment, i miss Ronnie so much, never get tired of playing the first 3 Rainbow lp`s, one thing i loved about Dio he would listen to Zepp 1st before every show!!! peace,
I guess this is something that comes up often… but I would be so happy to see a reissue of Elements (and Mask). Any chance to see it happen?
I have been waiting for so long to get your solo albums; and I coukld complete the stuff today with The Butterfly Ball, Elements, and Mask. You have been shadowed by the Purple thing but I believe your music is really great. Hugs Roger
Hey Roger! I just listened to the David Coverdale debut solo album “ White Snake”. Its a great album and I know that you produced it. I was just wondering wether you played bass on some of the tracks. Thanks!
Hi Roger,
I’ve been a fan since I heard 3 new albums from two bands I never heard before: Sabs Vol 4, MiJ & WDWTWA. I know DP mk2 didn’t have great feelings about that LP due to the impending changes but I really do love it. I believe you designed the cover but where did you get the idea from? I love your bass playing especially on Place In Line and Rat Bat Blue.
As a fan for 48 years and that never met any of the DP family tree (except Mr. Bonnet where I photographed him at Liverpool), I’d love to meet you and the band sometime – and maybe even photograph you at a gig (so long as Covid rules allow)!
Dear Chris,
It is not Roger playing on Come Taste the Band. It is Glenn Hughes.
Regards,
Gergely
