The Post-Season Post

I trust everybody survived the preceding festivities with nothing more than indigestion. After being away on tour for a large part of the year, I finally returned home to spend Christmas, etc. with my family. The tour was one of the best, we all agreed on that. So massive thanks to our heroic crew and a huge thank you to all who supported us last year, the year of =1.

These days, the tally of those who departed us over that year seems to get irritatingly longer. Some of my friends are there, Mick Underwood, Zoot Money, but the rest – singers, musians, producers, etc. – have lodged themselves forever in my head one way or another. I’m indebted to music for this.

RIP
Mick Underwood
Zoot Money
Quincy Jones
John Mayall
Dicky Betts
Mike Pinder
Duane Eddy
Steve Harley
Dave Loggins
Davis Sanborn
Jimmy James
Richard Perry
Peter Sinfield
Vic Flick
Shel Talmy
Paul Di’Anno
Peter Collins

Good luck for what’s around the corner. Enjoy every sandwich.

See you later,

Roger Glover

    HAPPY NEW YEAR ROGER!!!!

We trekked out to Oklahoma and Texas to see you guys in 2024. Thrilled to see and hear 6 new tracks off the =1 album played live. Enjoyed our short chats after those 2 shows. Now rumor has it that 2025 is now set for yet another studio album to be in the works. You sure know how to make an old fan ecstatic. Enjoy your nice break with family and close friends. They are few and far between. Hope to see ya somewhere along the way this year and am now super excited about the news of a new album in the works. CheerZ to you and the Boyz!!!!

Happy new year Roger and good health to you!
We are currently in Zermatt, on our 3-4 week European tour (that sounds very DP 🙂 ), before heading back to our home in Portugal.

This morning we made a pilgrimage sidestep to Montreux, where I popped by the old Grand hotel. I took a selfie with the plaque outside, got in the car and suitably played Smoke LOL.

Hope 2025 will be another great year for you, your family, your colleagues 🙂 and the amazing DP fans.

    Peace and take care!

Great show in Gilford, NH USA this past summer. Sound was spot on and DP was playing with fun and fire.

Hey Roger, too many losses, but let’s celebrate the living. I was disappointed when Purple pulled out of the Australian Pandemonium Festival in April 2024.

What are the chances of DP touring Australia in 2025?
