Let’s Call It A Year
It’s been a strange year. A year of life and death, despair and hope, all together and poles apart. Joy and sorrow. I never worried about the future, but that resolve has been tested a few times this year – and last. But human instincts take over and we learn to take strength from what we’ve got and ignore those yearnings for what we lack. The less that I look for, the more I find.
I’ve a lot to be grateful for; health, family, friends, the fun of making music in difficult circumstances. And the many birthday and Christmas greetings I received, warmed my heart. Thank you.
I hope 2022 brings better times and I hang on to the chance of seeing you again and saying, “Hi, good to see you”.

Hi Roger! Last night on the RLC boat, finally after 2 long years, we saw Deep Purple playing, we sat in front of you. We are so thankful for your music! And we are very happy to see that you are well and that you still play with enthusiasm and fun… And very happy to listen for the first time live the songs from Whoosh and Turning to Crime. Looking forward to a great concert year! Your friends from Germany, Heidi and Uli
Hey Rog,
Did your e-mail change? Sent you a message about us heading to St. Pete to see you guys on the 12th of Feb. No response. If you get this, send me your e-mail if it’s new so we can catch up.

Your Buddies, Tracy & Tina Heyder
Hi Roger,
hello from a Swiss guy who lives downunder.
Just started playing “Demon’s eye” with my band. What a great bssline, like so many other ones of yours. Thanks for all the great music ! Keep on rockin’ mate 😉
Hello Roger,
What a turn of events we have all been through these past 2 years. Missed opportunities to see you guys play live is my biggest complaint. Hopefully not the case this year as we have tickets for your Feb. 12 show in St. Pete, Fl. Praying it stays scheduled. Lovin’ “Turning to Crime”. Quite a surprise. You guys really pulled off a gym with that. Wishing you and the Band a fantastic, healthy and blessed 2022… 😉
CheerZ!!!!!
Happy New Year Roger! I hope we all will bounce back from the dreaful pandemic this year! Looking forward to see you and the band coming months!
Hello Roger, at the closure of 2021 I am grateful for being healthy and for the joy of listening to the new record. I miss live music very much and really truly hope that concerts will happen in 2022 and that I will have the pleasure again of meeting you great guys again! I wish you and your family all the best of the world in this new year! Thank you so much for the music, please keep on with your music! Best wishes and thanks, Heidi from Germany (Peru)
My heartfelt thanks for the decades of ever evolving music, this last album provides some much needed fun and smiles. Never wrote anything resembling a fan letter, only peruse the media. Since 1972, the music of Deep Purple has been a constant positive in my life. I often catch a bit of razzing over my apparent preoccupation with the music. Never been one to worry over the future myself but these last two years have indeed raised an eyebrow of concern. Purple remains a positive presence, great memories (thanks for the smiles and waves when I climb out of my seat 10 rows back while you hit us with a heavy bass line!), and anticipation of what may yet come.
Haaaaaapy new year! Mr. Glover

So glad we made it
Why you, gimme some lovin’ everyday……

Roger,
What can I say but thanks for making great music throughout my entire life. The meet and greets are the best night of my year. I hope they can continue in the future. I have a picture of you and I hanging in my music room from the Gillan’s Inn tour in 2006 from New York and everyone that’s seen it says he looks like an awesome dude! I tell everybody he the greatest, nicest person I have ever met. If we ever meet again I would like you to sign it. Al the best my friend.

Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to see you in Florida for the new tour.
Sending you lots of warm greetings and lots of appreciation and respect for how well you dealt with the lockdown by writing and producing a great album ‘ turning to crime’
Lots of respect to the most hard working live band and I hope to see with with the rest of DP family on the road in the UK in 2022.
Take care and keep spreading the positive energy.
Happy New Year. Hopefully I will be able to see you again (last time was right before I moved to Ireland in 2017). With a year full of health problems and other problems (lost below my right knee), the Turning to Crime CD was one of the few highlights for me. Never go wrong with Purple to lift ones spirits.
Hi Roger,
All the best for you and your family. Hope to see you again in 2022 with Deep Purple.
Thanks for the beautiful “Turning To Crime” album in 2021. Great music from the best band in the world !
Best whishes,
Greetings John ( from Holland )
Even if you have turned to crime you are are very welcome in CPH in 2022: The Long Goodbye Tour – keep it going. See you again.
Hope to be able to meet you again in 2022. One of my fondest memories of rock gigs is from that time in 2009 when you sat on a couch backstage in São Paulo and we all grabbed a beer and sat around you to listen to your stories. Thank you for being there, thank you for your music. Your music makes my life better.
Blessings, Roger.
Hello Mr. Glover,
I wish you all the best for the new year and I hope that I can see you and your Band in Bonn and Oberhausen next year (I got the tickets last year)!
Greetings from Germany
