Rupert Hine R.I.P.

Words are hard to find. Rupert was one of my oldest and dearest friends.

Insightful, stimulating, talented and funny, I feel privileged to have known and worked with him. An absolute gentleman. I produced his first album in 1971, Pick Up A Bone, with his partner David MacIver. He went on to be one of the most innovative and influential producers around and broke boundaries in the emerging recording technology of the 70s.

My condolences go to his wife, Fay, and all his family and friends.

Goodbye, Roop R.I.P.

Came across this. I was Rupert’s business partner and friend. We all had dinner together at the Corinthia with your daughter and my wife. He had such nice things to say about you. I was missing him today…for nearly 8 years we spoke almost daily and then he was gone…and reminiscing I came across this. I’m still carrying on the mission we started. It would be great to stay in touch.
